Solar Energy Solutions
Enable efficient, cost effective and
Dispatch-able solar power
CGI is on the forefront of the immense growth in the solar industry, with its partners having accumulated more than 7.5 gigawatts of total global installment for solar inverter technology. CGI provides end to end solar solution that will reduce both Capital Expenditure and Operational Expenditure and maintain reliable power and plant performance. This ensures CGI has the right partnerships with industry leaders for any size solar project to continue the development and integration of a complete solar power station solution.
One such partner, GE was the first to introduce 1,500-volt to the solar market. CGI is proud to partner with GE and its new LV5+ Solar Power System to deliver a reliable, easy to install, factory integrated power conversion solution for utility-scale solar energy instillations. This containerized solar power station is a breakthrough for utility scale project with a self contained high efficiency plug and play module with the ability to create 2.7-3.5 MW.
Another partner, Canadian Solar set a technology world record of 22.80% conversion efficiency for p-type large area multi-crystalline silicon solar cell. This focus on research, design, and technology led Canadian Solar to be voted the most bankable solar module manufacturer by Bloomberg and led to the shipping of over 36 GW modules in just Q2 of 2019 which can generate around 45,321,600 MW of clean electricity per year, enough to meet the needs of approximately 10 million homes.
Another partner, Jinko Solar is a pioneer of bifacial solar modules with transparent backsheet technology. This technology increases power gain by up to 20% over single sided panels leading to an hour on average longer generation time. This bifacial panelling is ideal for sun rooms, desert surfaces, highway, carport, and sun tacking mount.
Each strategic partner offers specialities in solar to provide the best technology and a tailored solution to each client. While CGI has strategic partnerships including GE, Canadian Solar, LG Solar, and Q Cells Solar, we always remain bipartisan and focus on providing the best solution for each of our our clients needs.
-
Utility
Large scale projects where the electricity is sold to wholesale utility buyers. More than 37,000 MW currently in operation.
-
Commercial
Large variety of projects from rooftop to ground mount varying from KW to MW. Currently more than 4,000 companies utilize commercial solar systems.
-
Residential
The average US residential solar instillation is around 5 KW. The average home saves about 12,500 pounds of atmospheric carbon dioxide by going solar for one year.
OPTIMIZING CAPITAL INVESTMENT
Maximizing Solar Power lifetime value and Decreasing Levelized Cost of Energy
By focusing on the solar system as a whole, CGI offers solar solutions that will lower the LCOE for solar power production. The total installed cost, including individual parts, commissioning, installation, and logistics, must be calculated and considered in order to optimize CAPEX for large scale solar power plants.
This systematic approach to a fully integrated solar power station reduces the cost of development and total installed cost thus mitigating start-up risk, creating an improved reliability of the solar power station assets.

Digital Integration
CGI offers a digital integration portal for end users utilizing technology from GE and Canadian Solar. This technology provides easy to operate up to date information about the solar energy production and consumption. By also displaying historic and future data, the consumer has a full visual of performance and asset health. This allows the consumer to stay aware of system performance and other key metrics communicating pertinent information to installers, operators, and management to ensure efficient servicing before energy production is effected.
